Lana Al-Zu’bi
Waste, Sustainable Development and Environmental Compliance
Lana is an Environmental, Social, and Health and Safety Expert with 20 years of experience working with multinational clients and partners. Lana has significant experience in undertaking environmental impact assessment studies (EIA, ESIA, SEA, due diligence, environmental and social management systems and governance, macro and micro planning for projects, risk assessment, consultation and stakeholder engagement, supervision and monitoring, lender reporting, and capacity building).
Lana is also experienced in preparing and implementing environmental and social management systems, including health and safety, tendering and procurement, supervision (construction and operation) and reporting, lender advisory, Land Acquisition and Compensation Framework/Action Plans, Livelihood Restoration Plan, social assessments, assessment and management of labor and working conditions, grievance management, health and safety including community safety, and others.
Lana has extensive knowledge on international financing requirements including the IFCs Sustainability Framework and the Equator Principles, EBRD, KFW, WBG, USAID, EIB, and others.
Lana’s work covers a range of industry and development sectors including infrastructure, transport, waste management, energy and refineries, water and wastewater, tourism, industry and development zones, and other development projects in Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Palestine, and other countries.
Throughout her career, Lana has advised Development Financial Institutions (DFIs), public entities, project developers, and various clients on environmental and social sustainability. Lana’s work is distinguished by its quality, excellence, practicality, and successful delivery.
Lana holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Jordan University in Jordan and MSc in Water and Environmental Management from Loughborough University from the United Kingdom.
