Project Description: 

ECO Consult was contracted by the USAID-funded Aqaba Community and Economic Development Program implemented by AECOM to undertake a study that aimed to assist the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZA) in diagnosing the status quo for the existing business environment in Aqaba.

Provided Services:

The comprehensive study provided situational analysis that cut across economic sectors and businesses' sizes in Aqaba and provided baseline field confirmed data, including but not limited to internal and external factors such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), labor, domestic investment, sales, and products, business impediments, businesses registration and permitting, economic and regulatory policies, requests and priorities of ASEZA services, and measurement of investors' level of satisfaction from service offerings by ASEZA.
