Project Description:

The current electricity sector in the West Bank is under transformation

The Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority (PENRA) was seeking to improve the current situation and to assess future challenges and requirements for the outlined grid situation in Tubas and Jericho area.

EBRD commissioned COWI and its subcontractor ECO Consult to prepare a Grid Enforcement Study in the West Bank – Palestine specifically for the Jericho and Tobas Governorates

Provide Services:

ECO Consult provided the following key services for the project:

• Data collection and coordination from relevant local entities and stakeholders related to main systems, equipment and facilities of area under this study, including but not limited to (a) transmission and distribution grid, (b) dispatch and system monitoring systems, (c) load following capabilities, and other
• Participation and support in assessments and report production to include model analysis, flow analysis, recommendations and other.
