The Horticulture Development Project team in Iraq attended a high-level conference that happened on January 2nd Canon (January) titled "Agriculture is our future." This conference was organized by Invest in Kurdistan in the presence of a number of officials, including the Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, President of the Investment in Kurdistan, and the Deputy Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and representatives of public and private sectors. The conference focused on a number of important issues within the discussion circles, including the role of the public, private sector and external investment in supporting the agriculture sector in Iraq Kurdistan. The Iraq Horticulture Development Program team attended a high-level forum on January 17 entitled “Agriculture is Our Future”. Organized by Invest in Kurdistan, the event brought together high-profile guests and key officials including the Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources, Head of the Kurdistan Investment Board, and Deputy Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and other representatives from the private and public sectors. The event highlighted several interesting panel discussion topics on the role of public, private, and foreign investments in advancing agriculture in KRI.
