Project Description:

The team led by COWI together with ECO Consult was selected as Owners Engineer for the 90 MW Wind Farm project at Fujeij in Jordan. The wind farm consists of 27 wind turbines each with a capacity of 3.3 MW. The Owner is KEPCO, which was awarded the project development by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral resources (MEMR) of Jordan.

The project is part of the country's strategy for renewable energy with a target of 10% in 2020.

Provided Services:

ECO Consult provided the following key services for the project:

• Provision of local technical teams including civil, electrical, mechanical, and environmental engineers as well as health and safety experts working with the team throughout the project implementation period.
• Participating in the review of EPC documents and ensuring the Contractor’s designs meet the contractual and local requirements.
• Undertaking site supervision during the construction period and providing regular reporting to ensure proper implementation onsite.
